AfriForum Safety Structures on the trail of suspected farm murderers

AfriForum Safety Structures in Kathu and Kuruman in the Northern Cape and Vryburg in North West have been searching for three suspected farm attackers with the South African Police Service (SAPS) since last night, after a 64 year old farmer, Christo Kruger was murdered on his farm, Byron. Kruger’s wife, Vera was left unharmed and it looks like nothing was stolen.

“Christo sensed trouble after a farm worker phoned and informed him that something was yanking at the gates of the farm house. He went outside to investigate and was shot in the chest,” Ian Cameron, Head of Community Safety at AfriForum, said.

The AfriForum Safety Structures responded and manned all entrances linking the towns and farms. The SAPS was speedily on the scene and have been searching for the suspects without stop.

“The SAPS and AfriForum received credible information, including the names of suspects, and we are on their trail. The police are very effective and we will give them support when called upon,” Cameron said.
